Tested and automated a 3PAR/Egenera Blades, Disaster Recovery Remote Copy exercise for 3PAR

S800 SAN replication using bash scripts.

2008: Senior IT Storage and Backup ConsultantSMS Data Products Inc. (Lockheed Martin for D.O.D.),

(Seoul, Korea) Mclean, Virginia, Designed, implemented and tested a Highly Availability co-located Storage

and Backup architecture solution with over 18 TB storage capacity in a Data Center. Racked/Stacked and

installed enhanced performance by implementing an optical data transfer design from Storage Arrays to

Storage Media. The environments consisted of EMC ClaRiion (CX-320), DELL (6650, 6450, Blade 1955's),

Brocade FC Switches, and Falconstor VTL-220, Tape Media Library DELL ML6020) hardware with Windows

(2003) and Unix (Solaris) Operating systems running Clustered Exchange and SQL Database servers and

Information Server application servers. Some of the software used in this solution includes Symantec

Veritas Netbackup 6.5, Volume Manager, QLogic SanSurfer/other vendor specific software.

(HA) redundant, scalable, heterogeneous (multi platform, operating system and system hardware),

Storage Area Network (SAN), hosting solution with multilayered SAN/Media based Backup and Recovery

Disaster recovery capabilities for a multi-site Data Centers globally for Military Medical Systems. Some of

the solution enhancement benefits and capabilities include largely scalable storage expansion with optimized

scalable and redundant optical communication, Block/System/File & DB level information data protection,

Instantaneous Snapshot backups, automated fail-over and backups and heterogeneous OS/Application

provisioning. Tasks involved in deploying t h e solution included Solution Concept-Design, Systems

of over 500 systems. Evaluated current Backup system and methods, and recommended improvements,

from Syncsort Backup Express to Veritas Netbackup. Upgraded and updated all backup methods and

Consolidated and updated HP-UX systems. Upgraded and migrated systems using Ignite. Implemented

backup process and procedures.Department of Justice - Created Disaster recovery solution with Veritas

SRA International (D.O.D.) - Designed architecture and scripted an automated system provisioning solution for

Solaris 8 on Sun Fire V100, V120 and V880 Enterprise servers using SUN's Jumpstart, Archive and Flash

Start technologies. Configured Lantronix Secure Console Server 1600 for remote console mangement of

Sun Servers, SUN T3 StoreEdge Array (IBM SAN), SUN RSC cards and F5 BIGIP Clustered Web server

systems. Designed redundancy, back-up, failover, recovery solutions using Flash Archive , Open Boot,

Veritas(Volume Manager, Backup), UPS and Backup Express. Documented work for project delivery.
